Dr. Caitlyn K. Affrunti, D.D.S., M.S.Dr. Caitlyn K. Affrunti, D.D.S., M.S. Implant & Periodontal Plastic Surgery Specialist  Dr. Caitlyn Affrunti, a Board-Certified Periodontist, joined our practice in August, 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon completing her dental degree, Dr. Affrunti chose to pursue her passion for periodontics and implant dentistry at Loma Linda University where her research to earn her Master of Science degree, Accuracy of Implants Placed with Surgical Guides was published in the prestigious International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.Dr. Affrunti's philosophy is to treat and serve her patients with compassion and care, while exceeding the standard of excellence in dentistry. As a periodontist her primary focus is on preventive dentistry to preserve the patient’s natural dentition. While dental implants are becoming increasingly popular as replacements for teeth, proper and early diagnosis of periodontal disease is of utmost importance. We strive to excel in interceptive and restorative dental treatment. She believes the most effective service for her patient’s is an evidence based, multidisciplinary approach. Outside of dentistry Dr. Affrunti has a passion for sports, health and fitness and new adventures! She grew up playing organized sports and followed her passion through college playing Division I Softball at Creighton University. Traveling has always been a love of hers and she has been fortunate enough to experience cultures in over 25 countries. She is always up for new adventures, so who knows where her travels will take her next. Dr. Affrunti and her husband enjoy spending time together cooking healthy, homemade meals, sailing and scuba diving. They also enjoy training at the gym together in morning before work as a way to always start the day off on a positive note. She and her husband adopted a special needs dog that is deaf and have enjoyed training her with hand signals! |
