Implant Supported Crowns
It's time to take control of your smile, and boost your overall confidence!
Dental ImplantsA dental implant is an artificial tooth root (made from titanium) that is placed into your jawbone to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. One of the benefits of implants is that the procedure does not sacrifice the health of adjacent teeth and helps keep the existing bone from deteriorating. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.
This procedure is a team effort between you, Dr. Bell and your periodontist. Dr. Bell and your periodontist will consult to determine where and how your implant should be placed. Depending on your specific condition Dr. Bell will create a treatment plan tailored to meet your needs and supervise the process very carefully to ensure the surgical results meet our exacting standards.
Implant CrownsImplant crowns are placed on implants that have been placed into the jawbone. One of the benefits of implant crowns is that they do not sacrifice the health of adjacent teeth. Implant crowns look and function just like natural teeth. Maintenance of implant crowns is the same as caring for your natural teeth with the added benefit that they are not subject to discoloration or decay.
Before & After: Implant Supported Crowns (Anterior)
This patient experienced a trauma to her mouth in her youth, resulting in a root canal on the lateral incisor. Unfortunately, years later, the root canal treatment failed; note the redness and swelling at the gumline.
The lateral incisor needed to be extracted. An implant was placed and a custom abutment fabricated to create a foundation to support the crown.
The implant-supported crown is placed, restoring function and resulting in an aesthetically pleasing smile.
Before & After: Implant Supported Crown (Posterior)
This patient lost three teeth due to a large cyst located around the roots of his teeth. The cyst was removed and implants and abutments placed.
Implant-supported crowns were placed, restoring form and function to his bite.
